Early...

Last Wednesday night...

Alli : Mum tomorrow can you give 2.50...
Mum : Why?
Alli : I wanted to buy something at school...
I forgot about it...
He forgot to remind me...

After school, Thursday afternoon...

Alli : Can I skip Mother's Day Sunday nanti...
Mum : (don't understand but still answer)...ok...
Alli : Good, I want to give you these...

Alli : You like ka mum...Happy Mother's Day...
Mum : Mum like...thank you baby...
Mum : How much you buy this....
Alli : 1 ringgit...
Mum : (I remembered seeing this posted in the school's notice board, 50 cents a piece) ini ada 4...
Alli : Oh sorry, 2 ringgit mum...
Mum : Alaaa...why you buy so many...you only have 1 ringgit left (pocket money is RM3)...did you eat...
Alli : Ada...

While waiting for Adek, we ate at the resaurant...

Alli : Mum Alli mau kasi habis this nasi...Alli lapar...jangan share ah...
Mum : Ok...

I was sad and happy.
Happy caused he took the effort to buy me something for Mother's Day.
Sad because he has to get hungry to please his mum.
We sometimes share our meal as he don't normally finish his.

Thursday night...

Alli : Mum give me 2.50 tomorrow...
Mum : What for...
Alli : I wanted to buy something for...
Mum : For who...
Alli : Forrrrrrrr...
Mum : For your girlfriend ka (teasing him)...
Alli : Ya for girlfriend (fast to answer)...can mum...
Mum : Can...

Friday morning...

Alli's classroom was located on the 2nd floor and I would normally send him up as I feel pity that he had to carry the heavy bag.
I stopped at the 1st floor where a notice board was located to read the latest news when I heard him said...

Alli : Alamak, pecah sudah rahsia Alli...

I pretended I didn't hear him and proceeded to ascend the staircase.
I knew that he was having a hard time to keep mum.
He was trying to be very secretive and I didn't want to disappoint him.

Friday afternoon...

As Friday's lunchtime is longer, we had our lunch at the school's canteen.
He then proudly present me with this...

I was very touch with his gesture.
I was very touch with his thoughtfullness.
My little boy has become a little man.
A mother's dream.
This mother's nightmare.
