Bird Photography Blunder - Mount Kinabalu Outing

Lesson No. 1 : Always check your camera setting

Lesson No. 2 : Always transfer your images after every outing
Lesson No. 3 : Always format your CF card for the next outing
Lesson No. 4 : All of the above
I learned the above lessons the hard way on our 2nd day at the mountain. It was around 6.00 am at Wildlife Mountain Lodge...
Hubby : Hurry, hurry...laughing thrush, laughing thrush...
Self : Ok, ok...(scrurrying along)...
Then...
Self : Aii, what happened...macam overexposed (checking the image through the LCD)
Hubby : Check your setting...
Self : Ok ba (belum check lagi)...kemarin ok (defensive)
After a while...
Self : Cilaka, betul oh...manual setting...mau tangkap gunung last night kan...
Hubby : Hah, sudah bilang kan...
Self : Adui, lupa format lagi...
Hubby : Ndak bule marah you pasal ini...this is how you learn...next time you will remember...
Such a costly lesson...
Chestnut-Capped Laughing Thrush (Garrulax Mitratus)
...felt like crying with this result...
...disastrous clear shot...
I was not laughing that day...
But I am ready now...

These shots will definitely not make you even worse. They will only make you much better!
